In the year 2000, the EU's Council of Ministers adopted the Lisbon Strategy for the future that was based on knowledge and education. This vision was supported by economists all over the world and Denmark was among the countries that met the goals. What became of that optimistic vision? Why is research not part of the public debate or part of the recently concluded election campaign?
