Philosopher Frederik Stjernfelt
Professor Frederik Stjernfelt from Aalborg University recently received the Carlsberg Foundation's research award. Science Journalist Jens Degett has spoken to him (in Danish) about his research in semiotics, which is about how to make signs and interpret them, thereby achieving a deeper understanding of the sign's meaning. Frederik Stjernfelt has also written books about the conflict in the Balkans and modern concepts such as woke and the freedom of the press, which Struense introduced in the 18th century and what it has meant for our democracy.
