Creativity and flow: In memoriam Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
One of the great personalities in psychological research Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi passed away on 20 October 2021. He recognized and named the psychological concept of flow, a highly focused mental state when you are completely engrossed in the creative process and forget yourself and the world around you. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's books have been read by millions of people around the world and his work has been of great importance in the understanding of creativity.
In this podcast, Science Journalist Jens Degett from Science Stories interviews Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi about the essence of creativity. The interview was recorded at a symposium in the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters in October 2013.
